HungerMeter
مقياس الجوع
An experimental short treating hunger not as metaphor but as a unit of measurement — and asking what we lose when we turn a human experience into a number.

Director's Note
I was interested in the violence of quantification — the way data pretends to describe something while quietly replacing it. Hunger was the clearest example I could find of an experience that resists being turned into a number, and then gets turned into one anyway.
- Does quantifying an experience change how it is felt?
- What is lost when human need becomes data?
Process
Layering documentary material with data visualization to let the two registers argue with each other.
A question about the economy of experience — who measures, who is measured, and what the act of measuring does to both.
