New Present

حاضر جديد

A short film about a relationship maintained across distance — following the small rituals, the delays, the things that get lost in translation between physical and hidden presence.

Director's Note

I wanted to look at what digital connection actually feels like — not the idea of it, but the texture. The slight delay. The way you look at the screen instead of the person. The difference between being seen and being watched.

  • What does digital presence preserve and what does it lose?
  • How does the interface change the nature of intimacy?

Process

The digital screen as a light source within the frame — treating the device as both subject and cinematographic tool.

A portrait of contemporary migration — not the journey but the daily life of remaining connected.
